Traditional Yoga

Uniting to Life's rhythmique, to the intimate rythms of our bodies and breaths. Calm the mind, and presenting it with the sovereing path of meditation. Reconnect with our subtil being, conscious, welcoming our emotional and mental waves to joyfully detach ourselves from them, becoming once more a free Observer.

Awakening our bodies softly, in a meditative state, discover and employ our deepest resources (fascia, joints, connective tissues...) to face discomfort and reestablish inner peace.

Understanding our inate nature; reclaiming our original equilibrium; welcoming our own daily harmony, through our relationship to food, habits, personal rituals, and learn to create balanced seasonal routines.

Why YOGA ?
Since its origin, yoga is linked to no dogma, religion or beliefs... it is a discipline of realisation practicing the Union with the authentic deep Self.
Joy happens when we welcome the present undefended, free of memories of the past. Not surrendering to the moment, resisting the present, distorting it with our fears, projecting falsities... is always what hurts us and makes our lives so complicated.
Practicing yoga allows us to let go. We let go of our self-image, of what we think should be… of thinking anything should be different ! We do not try to be different... we seek to be ourselves, in its deepest sense… once again we find the vital energy, the impetus, the life-affirming force that inhabited us all as little children before our conditioning… And we consciously honour the fact of being here, Full Presence. Welcoming what is with respect and love. Thence, the body and the spirit harmonise together and may resonate with the universe !
Why AYURVEDA ?

Conscience of Life; that is Ayurveda: meaningfully restore our inner balance through the knowledge of our own Natural Rhythms. Finally get the keys of your initial homeostasis back. Re-infuse traditional wisdom that are essential for a fully delightful Life !

To imbue daily practice and routine with this Life-affirming energy native to human kind, to restore our creative, curious, innovating self while at the same time being grounded in our inner calm, serenity and deeply rooted in the heritage of our common ancestral wisdoms...

A truly holistic medicine, recognised by the WHO, harmonising minds and bodies for more than 5000 years... Ayurveda continues to balance life on the edge of Equilibrium even now, and maybe more so in our modern times.

Art of Living: nuances and adaptation

A deep connection to your inner being. Your own Self. Singular. Unique. Plural as a microcosm in constant évolution yet fully and utterly YOU. Ayurveda and yoga are sister disciplines which are completely adaptative to every living being. Fundamentally seasonal and tailored to who you are right this instant, encompassing this body, these emotions, this mind, this instant soul like a snapshot registering your present state in it wonderful impermanence.

Pourquoi Ânanda Spring ?

Ânanda is a sanskrit word meaning bliss, felicity. A joy serene under any circumstances, welcoming and trusting what comes with gratitude and equanimity. It is also the name my mother Kate gave me at birth.

Spring means both a naturally arising pure water fountain, the forward energy of movement, and the season of growth and rejuvenation of creation. It is the essence of spontaneous living, springing from the origins to the vivifying abundance of water and young sprouts, the birthing of life anew in colours, flavours, delights ! It is also the season in which I was born, and the name my father gave me at birth.

Together, Ânanda Spring is for me a symbol of Harmony ; of Yin-Yang, the balance of feminine and masculine principles, the passing on from both father and mother ; a symbol of both serene surrendering and spontaneous dynamic acting. It is Tamas and Rajas balanced in Sattva !

Ânanda Spring is an intimate approach, simple and concrete of the Ancestral Wisdoms passed on from India, such as Yoga, Ayurveda...
